Town and Country Animal Hospital Palm Beach Gardens

image If only I could rate less than zero. Have been taking both of our dogs to Dr South for over 4 years. Always thought it was expensive but only the best for my two rescues. Molly, our oldest Maltese, has had multiple medical issues including a blood disease, pancreatitis, thyroid and skin irritation. After thousands in vet bills, she quit eating and decided to join the other pets we've had. Our family accompanied us to have her put down and Dr. Mark said "do we want to put her down just because she was dehydrated"? His test indicated she was NOT dehydrated but he had done some procedures that might help. I told him we'd be back in the morning if she wasn't feeling better and eating. When we returned in the morning he wanted to do more tests! I said she had decided what was best for her and it was time. His comment was "well lets get her done"! I said I wasn't going to let her out of my sight and after he had unsuccessful tried to put intravenous ports in her two front legs he told me " you just need to take her someplace else"! Of course we did! Don't know if it was the loss of his revenue stream or incompetence, but it was the least compassionate acts he could have done in front of a grieving family!

image When they clean the office, install doors in the waiting rooms, and hire professional front desk staff, maybe we will return. The amount of filth in this office is concerning. Can't imagine what the surgical equipment and room look like. They don't have doors in the waiting rooms, just curtains. How is an owner supposed to keep their pet still when they're in pain and the exit is so easily accessible? Sammie in the front thinks that even though she's a teenager, she runs the place πŸ˜‚ it's comical, really. She has a huge attitude problem and is probably 85% of the reason I won't be back. The other 15% is the fact that the physician tells you one thing verbally and when you call and ask for it in writing the story changes. This happened twice... The only thing that kept me coming here was Amanda. She was amazing, a sweetheart, and understood what I was going through with my puppies. I hope she gets out of there and finds someone who really appreciates her work.

image Dr.South and his staffs are kind knowledgeable and really care for your pets.
I actually know what I'm talking about, I worked for a vet while I was in college.
Its easy to book an appointment. I did not have to wait long. I especially appreciate this with three dogs, it can get hairy ( haha) in the waiting room with other pets.
The office and treatment roooms are clean, and pleasant. I love this place and my three whippets give them three paws up.
